Every December, Las Vegas becomes the heartbeat of the cloud world. This year, from December 1–5, AWS re: Invent 2025 will once again bring together engineers, founders, and FinOps practitioners to explore what’s next for cloud, AI, and efficiency.
For those of us who live and breathe cloud optimization, re: Invent is more than a technology conference. It is the one week when the entire ecosystem comes alive with announcements, deep-dive sessions, and conversations that remind us how fast the cloud world is evolving.
If you are heading to Vegas or tuning in virtually, here is my personal guide to making AWS re: Invent 2025 both productive and unforgettable.
The first rule of re: Invent is simple: preparation makes all the difference.
You can now reserve seats for your favorite sessions through the attendee portal, and the most popular ones fill up quickly. The AWS Events mobile app (available on iOS and Android) is the most important planning tool. It helps you manage your agenda, track shuttle routes between venues, and even find food spots near your next session.
If you are joining virtually, you can still be part of the action. Keynotes and Innovation Talks will be streamed live for free, so you will not miss any major product announcements or partner updates.
My first Re: Invent felt like a marathon: miles of walking, back-to-back sessions, and networking from morning till midnight. Over the years, I have learned a few things that make the experience smoother:
Make time for fun. Join the 5K Run, Bingo After Dark, the Sports Forum, or the iconic re: Play closing party.
The AWS Partner Experience (PEX) has always been one of my favorite parts of re:Invent. It is where solution builders, ISVs, and FinOps professionals exchange ideas about automation, AI, and cost governance at scale.
A few sessions I am especially excited about this year:
Innovation Talks: Deep dives with AWS leaders focusing on AI, analytics, and emerging architectures that directly shape how we run FinOps at scale.
re:Invent’s biggest value lies in its sessions. Whatever your learning style, there is a format that fits you:
These formats make re: Invent one of the most engaging learning experiences in the cloud community.
WS-led breakout sessions are the foundation of the Partner Experience (PEX) track. Whether you are focused on AI, modernization, or FinOps, these sessions are designed to accelerate your AWS journey.
Thursday, December 4
The ISV track is new this year, designed for independent software vendors building and scaling on AWS. These sessions highlight real-world architectures, design patterns, and lessons from successful SaaS implementations.
Key ISV Sessions:
One breakout you should not miss is PEX107 – Fast Track to Growth: Leveraging Partner Programs and AWS Marketplace for Success.
Led by Julia Chen and Matt Yanchyshyn, this session explores how AWS is transforming partner success through automation, AI-driven programs, and global marketplace reach. Whether you are scaling your SaaS offering, driving AI adoption, or managing FinOps at scale, this session connects strategy with execution.
If you are buying or integrating through AWS Marketplace, here is the full lineup of buyer-focused sessions:
Monday, December 1
Tuesday, December 2
Wednesday, December 3
Thursday, December 4
The Partner Experience Pavilion will host three key booths this year:
Each booth is a great place to network, learn, and spark collaborations that continue long after the conference.
If you enjoy learning by doing, AWS GameDay is a must. It is a team-based, hands-on challenge where participants use AWS solutions to solve real technical problems.
GameDay Sessions:
You do not need to bring a team. AWS will match you with others at the event. Just bring your laptop, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
AWS re:Invent 2025 is packed with training and certification opportunities.
Visit the Developers Community Pavilion (Booth #1502) for hands-on learning stations, sandbox experiences, and access to AWS Skill Builder’s 900+ free courses.
If you’re attending AWS re: Invent 2025 and want to talk about how FinOps, automation, and AI are reshaping cost governance, let’s connect in Las Vegas.
Our CEO, Aayush Kumar, and Head of Growth, Aayush Srivastava, from the OpsLyft team, will be there throughout the week, engaging with FinOps practitioners, engineering leaders, and AWS partners to exchange insights and share how we’re helping teams operate more efficiently in the cloud.
You can reach out on LinkedIn and set up a quick chat during the event. Whether it’s to discuss your FinOps journey, automation goals, or ideas for collaboration, we’d love to meet.
AWS re: Invent is not just a week of talks and announcements. It is where the global cloud community comes together to check its pulse and set its direction for the next year. It is where FinOps, AI, and engineering intersect to define the next wave of cloud efficiency.
If you are attending this year, plan your sessions carefully, connect with people intentionally, and take time to absorb the atmosphere. I always leave re: Invent feeling inspired, ready to bring back new ideas, better practices, and a sharper understanding of how to build efficiently in the cloud.
